I want an application to help me study. It should be compatible to run on windows 2000
professional. It shall do the following...
Let you create, save, open, edit/add to, and run quizzes.
When user loads a quiz they can then choose to start (run) the quiz or choose to edit the
quiz. Questions will only have the option of being edited when the quiz is being
created/edited.
Quiz creation...
Name the quiz. (Quiz name able to be at least 5 words long)
Allow you to create/add questions.
New questions can only be added to the quiz while it is being created/edited.
When creating a question, a question name will be required in the question name field,
before question is allowed to be saved (or before adding another question). If a
question is edited and the name field is changed it is saved as a new question with the
new name.
When a quiz is ran the question name would also be displayed above the question. The
program will number the questions automatically as they are created. When the form
for a new question comes up on the screen as you are creating the quiz, the question
name field will already be filled in with the default question name, which is equal to
the quiz name plus the question number.
When adding new question to the quiz it may be created or selected from a browse pre-
existing questions window (that is why the questions are required to be given a
name). For instance say I created a quiz yesterday and to day I'm creating a new
quiz, I would be able add questions to the new quiz from the quiz I created
yesterday. Or say over a few months I created 20 different quizzes; I would be able
to create a large quiz with all or some questions from all or any of the previous
quizzes that already existed in addition to (but not requiring) any new questions I
wanted to create for the new quiz.
Question creation...
Choose type of question to create.
Question types will include...
1. Multiple choice
2. True or False
When creating any type questions user should be able to create a question (at least) 50
words long. Answers should be able to be (at least) 25 words long. Questions will be
created through user-friendly forms that the user fills out. Each type of question will
have its own creation form. Both types of question creation forms will have a
box under the question text box that the user can use to display a small (jpg) graphic
if desired. (There will be a button to add graphic, which will open a browse the
computer window for user to locate the graphic).
When quizzes are run the graphic if added to question during question creation will be
displayed along with the question. If no graphic was added, then no graphic will be
displayed with that question when
quiz is run, but graphic box will still be available again if question is ever edited.
The multiple choice question creation form...
Will have a textbox to type the question and six fields labeled A,B,C,D,E,F to type
possible answers there will be a selection radio button next to each field for user to
select which answer is correct. All multiple-choice questions (during question
creation) will require user to input at least four possible answers, (A,B,C,D) but will
allow up to six possible answers (A,B,C,D,E,F).
If E or F are not used they will not be displayed when the quiz is run but will be available
again if the question is ever edited.
True or false question creation form
Will have text box for question and Radio button selector next to the word True and False
When true or false questions are ran in a quiz they should include the beginning words
...TRUE or FALSE? with the statement

I click the study helper icon on my desktop. The program opens. I click file, create new
quiz. A new quiz opens and says, type a name for this quiz, and click next. I type
electron theory and click next. Now it says check the box next to the question type. I
check the box next to multiple choice and click next. The create multiple choice question
form shows up now and the default question name "electron theory001" is already
automatically displayed in the question name field. I fill out the rest of the form and
click add new question. Now it says check the box next to the question type. I check
the box next to True or False and click next. The create True or False question form
shows up now and the default question name "electron theory002" is already
automatically displayed in the question name field. Repeat, repeat... Repeat, then I
click done. Now the quiz named electron theory is loaded and I can run it now.
Running (taking) a quiz...
Two options
1.) Run in NORMAL MODE
2.) Run in FLASH CARD MODE
Flash card mode is a simple mode that does not let you enter answers. It simply displays
the question, then when your ready you click and it then displays the answer. Then
when your ready you click again and it then displays the next question, and so on and so
on. The questions are always displayed in a different random order each time
the quiz is ran.
Normal Mode is more complex of a mode; it goes through the questions allowing you to
enter answers and recording if you got it right or wrong. It displays questions in a
different random order each time the quiz is ran. If you answer wrong it immediately
lets you know, records that one as wrong, and tells you the correct answer. At the
end of the quiz it tells you your score.
